My Quick Review:  To be honest, I hardly do any online shopping unless it is with free Amazon gift cards that I earned through Swagbucks which is why you rarely see any online deals on my site.  I know that the interest is there and I feel bad not posting more online deals but I don’t feel as knowledgeable in that area not to mention  I get a bit jealous because I never have the money to get in on any of the deals!  I would highly suggest that you check out Deals Is The Deal for all of the BEST and up to date online deals, referral/credit programs and online coupon codes.  I see a lot of “deals” (I use that term loosely) for online sites posted on other blogs but, Kelly posts the REAL deals!  She also usually has some giveaways for items/coupons that I don’t see other bloggers doing.  I have won twice so far on her site!  Kelly has much more to offer but I will let you hear about it in her own words…..

What is your name?- Kelly

Where are you located?- Rochester, NY

Do you work outside of the home?- Work at a local agency for people with mental and physical disabilities

Do you have any children and/or pets?- No children and I have one cat

What are some of your favorite things to do when you aren’t blogging?- I love to shop (obviously!), I like to be with my friends and just have fun and laugh! I am only 22!

How about some blogging questions, shall we?

Why did you start your blog? I started Deals is the Deal in February of 2010. I was unable to sleep one night and was trying to figure out a way to show friends and family my deals when I wasn’t able to see them all the time! After many hours of research, Deals is the Deal was born at approximately 4am! 

What is your favorite part about blogging?- I love being able to share exciting deals with other people who might not otherwise know. It’s exciting to see how much it has grown since I started it. When people I didn’t know (and from other states) started following, that was one of the first exciting moments of blogging!

Approximately how many times do you post a week?- I TRY to post every day, but between school, work and life, I might not be able to post as much as I like.

Do you have any special features on your blog? I have a coupon database and I was asked if my blog would be featured on a coupon app (The Ultimate Coupon App)!!! I think I called everyone and their mother who I thought would care when I was asked to be a featured blog!! 

I am curious to hear about your spending and saving habits!

Do you use coupons on every shopping trip?- definitely! I cringe when I shop with other people who don’t use coupons or when I have to purchase something and there are no coupons for it. Kind of a sickly feeling..

What is your favorite item to find a coupon for?- anything that will be free after the coupon! but I’m also a huge fan of the Gillette Fusion ProGlide razors. I have so many of them!

What is your best deal that you ever got?- Oh gosh, there are SO many, I don’t know if I can choose one! You’ll have to look through the blog and check out the deals I have posted after I shopped! *(The photo above of products worth $31.33 cost Kelly just $0.67 @ Walmart!)

Do you have a set grocery budget each month?- Working on it! I am trying to get OUT of debt, so shopping as much as I used to is not an option as of right now. Right now, I ONLY spend the “store money” (+UP, ECB, RR) so I combine coupons and just keep rolling them so I spend the least amount out of pocket and since I moved back in with mom to help get out of debt, the need to shop for food has decreased!

On average how much do you save on your grocery bill?- I try to spend under $20 total!

What is your favorite store to shop at for deals?- I love CVS!

If you could pass on one tip to people trying to save money, what would it be?- Start small and do NOT get overwhelmed! You might want to run out and grab that free candy bar, but is it worth the gas? (I’m still learning this LOL) These deals will come around again!

Do you have a favorite frugal recipe?- If only I could cook…..

What is the most frugal thing that you do?- I help my residents at work with their coupons! To help them save money as well!

What are some of your favorite money saving websites aside from your own? Hip2Save is one I visit several times a day, MojoSavings & A Full Cup are just a few!
