I also spotted a new display that has coupon booklets attached. Not the most obvious so I wanted to be sure that you don’t just pass these by in the store. I don’t have the time to list all of the coupons out right now but I will hopefully get to that this week. I did want to point out a decent deal with the $0.65 off any Solo plates, bowls or cups coupon that is in the booklet though. All Solo products are on sale for $2.50 right now through 6/02 and the $0.65 coupon doubles so this is how the deal would look:

Surgery, Hives, Facebook Drama, Blogging Plans

Is it just me or when something goes wrong, everything does? Things are usually bright and cheery on the other side of the mess and I so look forward to that!

I am sure you have all heard me complain more than you like so I will keep this as brief as possible. I am not taking a break from the blog. I just haven’t had any time to write up anything the past 2 weeks due to some road blocks.

If you follow the MCA Facebook page then you may have heard me mention how I have been having some issues with hives and no one knows where it is coming from. Nothing adds up. Anyway, that has calmed down a LOT but I still get them every couple of days. I have had them off and on for about 6 weeks or so. That didn’t keep me from blogging but was an added stress for sure!

My youngest son, Bronson (2) had a hydrocele since birth that we knew would need to be operated on eventually and now that we have our health insurance up and running we had to take care of it. I didn’t mention it to you guys because I guess I didn’t realize what it would be like after surgery. Surgery on my sweet little boy = a big deal but you see, the doctor was acting like he just had a scraped knee that needed a quick clean up and bandage. I suppose when compared to all of the other surgeries that children need every day this was as mild as they come but perhaps I should have done a little more research on what to expect once it was over and we were home. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the surgery, it only lasts about an hour and then the child is kept at the hospital for an hour or two in recovery. Then they are free to go home. Sounds easy peasy right?

Once home Bronson was in severe pain but thankfully only for a little less than 2 hours while we were waiting on his prescription to be filled. About 20 minutes after he took his pain meds he was back to himself. Which is great and all BUT his usual self can most be likened to a chimpanzee. I could not be saying this with a more straight face than I am right now – I suppose you will have to trust me on this one. ;) This is when things got tough. Just a few hours after surgery and my little guy wanted to jump off of everything, bash his pelvis (where his incision is) into everything and play like the crazy little critter he is. His incision was much larger than I had anticipated and to say that I get freaked out about stuff like that is an understatement. I have been watching him like a HAWK and am scared to turn away for even a minute. Even on a normal day I have to do this because I left the boys to play in their room one day about a month ago so that I could try to wash the dishes and not 2 minutes after I left the room did Bronson come screaming with a gashed nose that was so swollen, I thought he broke it (he didn’t). These kids are crazy I tell ya!

For those of you that do follow my Facebook page, one of the last things discussed on there was the mini altercation that I had with a “liker”. To summarize that whole thing since several people have been asking me about it : I made a status about how sick I was of seeing the word *HOT* plastered all over my Facebook feed and mainly on just the “deals” that were paying the blogger. I was in a bad mood – what can I say. I compared my hatrid of that word to the word panties (it just creeps me out for some reason). Not my most helpful status I will admit but I don’t see anything wrong with what I wrote. Anyway someone that “likes” the page left a comment saying that they were “disgusted” with what I wrote. After a TON of emails from you guys and with NO other negative comments I think I may have figured out why she left that comment – sources have let me know that she is a blogger and was posting under her personal FB account. I didn’t mean to ruffle any feathers but I apparently did. I wanted to kind of explain that whole thing since I have received so many emails and comments on the fb page about it and asking what happened. Thank you all for always supporting me. I also was asked by a few people if I was quitting my blog because of her comment. Umm…NO. I don’t even follow her blog and never hear her name mentioned anywhere so that hasn’t affected me in any way. It really wasn’t that serious. The only reason I have/would take breaks from my blog is when my personal life needs extra attention.

Bronson has his follow up visit with the urologist to check on his healing this coming Tuesday afternoon (15th) so I am hoping that he will say that he can resume his normal activities so that Mommy can get back to her normal activities and not feel worn out at 8 PM every night. I am hoping to get some posts up this week. I am not sure what exactly but I was able to get out twice in these past couple of weeks and I just went the other night and took lots of pictures for you all! Some great deals to share. Those will be in separate upcoming posts that I will try to work on in the next couple of days. Right after this post I will have up some current Tops Markets deals since several of them require printables and who knows when those will be pulled!

Below is a silly photo of my older son, Brendon (turning 4 in July) at my sister’s baby shower. They were doing face painting and he was trying to say that he wanted to be a clown but my sister (not the pregnant one) who was doing the face painting thought he said he wanted a crown which is why he is a crown wearing clown. LOL!
